Are these phone prices unlocked, or with carrier contract? Reply

I assume the price of $199 for zenphone 2 and $399 for zenphone zoom are all on-contract price? Reply

Why? Those are exactly the price range of the original Zenfone, and they've been very successful with them.

This is basically what a mid-range 2015 phone is going to look like, and they generally go for $200-$250 (outright, off contract).

We need 4GB more than we need quad-core CPUs or 2k displays. Reply

Intel is finally getting serious about Mobile it seems, which would be great more competition will mean better SoCs for us.

Also,if those are off contract prices I may seriously consider the Zenphone Zoom. I'll be waiting for a few reviews though, Asus products have been hit or miss for me in the past.
