G.Skill Unveils Trident Z Royal Hexa-Channel 192 GB DDR4-4000 Kit for Xeon W-3175X
by Anton Shilov on January 30, 2019 10:26 AM ESTG.Skill has released the industry’s first hexa-channel DDR4 memory kits designed specifically for Intel’s 28-core Xeon W-3175X processor for extreme workstations. The top-of-the-range kit features a 192 GB capacity and operates at 4000 MT/s data transfer rate, thus combining extreme performance and capacity. To make it even more attractive, the modules use G.Skill’s ‘blingy’ Trident Z Royal heat spreaders.
As usual, G.Skill plans to offer a number of Trident Z Royal hexa-channel memory kits for extreme workstations powered by Intel’s Xeon W-3175X featuring capacities ranging from 48 GB to 192 GB and rated for DDR4-3200 CL14/CL16, DDR4-3600 CL17, and DDR4-4000 CL17 at 1.35 V operation. All the modules are based on Samsung’s 8 Gb B-die DRAM devices that are known for their high overclocking potential. Like the rest enthusiast-class memory modules on the market today, the Trident Z Royal feature XMP 2.0 SPD profiles for one-click setup.
Depending on their speed bins, G.Skill’s hexa-channel Trident Z Royal DDR4 kits will offer a peak memory bandwidth of 153 GB/s, 172.8 GB/s, or 192 GB/s. Keeping in mind that the DRAM sets are designed for an unlocked 28-core CPU that operates at 3.1 – 4.5 GHz, an extreme memory sub-system is a must have feature in a bid to ensure maximum performance.

Apart from performance, a distinctive feature of G.Skill’s hexa-channel DDR4 kits is the company’s gold or silver Trident Z Royal heat spreaders with a unique addressable RGB lighting. Usage of the premium DRAM cooling systems naturally make Intel Xeon W-3175X-based systems look very luxurious.
G.Skill’s hexa-channel Trident Z Royal DDR4 kits will hit the market in the near future. Their MSRPs are unknown, but expect them to be on par with pricing of Intel’s Xeon W-3175X processor and ASUS’ ROG Dominus Extreme motherboard.

I fully expect this kit to cost at least as much as the Xeon itself.FreckledTrout - Friday, February 1, 2019 - link

Is it just me or is G.Skill customer service terrible? I need one of these RAM kits for a build and it is now almost 3 months since they announced. It's almost May and you still can't purchase it. W-3175X and motherboards are readily available. EK has CPU water blocks in stock. Asetek is following GSkill's lead and their cooler is backordered everywhere (although it's so poorly engineered it's not worth the $399 asking price).
I've been checking Newegg multiple times a day for weeks. I Sent an email asking about availability and, if I can't purchase the matched 6-channel kit anytime soon, could they offer suggestions on whether I could get 2 or 3 highly binned kits and use them reliably? 5 days later and I have no response. Sent them a message on twitter since their admin is active daily, no response.
Gave up waiting and ordered a 8x16GB 3833MHz TridentZ kit anyway but I'm on the verge of returning it. In my experience if a company won't acknowledge you before they have your money chances are it's going to be even worse when you need help or a warranty replacement down the road.
I had terrible luck with Corsair ram in the past (5+ years ago) but their 6-channel matched Vengeance LPX RAM is available and G.Skill's customer support has been terrible. Well, non-existent.
G.Skill makes some of the best (likely THE best) memory so I hope this is a just a fluke. After all, I'm only aggravated because I can't buy it!

Royal is correct. Need to have that royal bank account to justify this purchase. But it is absolutely gorgeous. If you are going to make your computer top shelf for the fleeting moment that your kit is bleeding edge then why not go all out.
